Reports Guide

How to find the right report, what period it covers, and how it reconciles to Tally and the FY2024-25 Excel study.

Where to find reports

  • Open Reports → All Reports for the full catalog grouped by category, with search.
  • Pinned financial reports (Trial Balance, P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) are also directly in the sidebar.
  • Each report has date filters, sortable columns, a totals footer and CSV export.

Default period

Financial and study reports default to the FY2024-25 study period (2024-04-01 to 2025-03-31) so they open reconciled. Adjust the date range or as-of date as needed.

Excel study mapping (FY2024-25)

These reports reconcile to the client Excel study and Tally to the rupee.

Cash Flow Statement — Direct & Indirect

The Cash Flow report (/reports/cash-flow) supports both Ind AS 7 methods via the toggle at the top:

  • Indirect — starts from Net Profit/(Loss) and adjusts for working capital (debtors, creditors, inventory, GST) and non-cash items. Built from Tally trial-balance ledger movements grouped by primary group.
  • Direct — reads every voucher on each cash/bank ledger and classifies actual receipts and payments by counterparty (customers, suppliers, taxes, expenses). Contra (cash↔bank) entries are internal and excluded.
  • Both methods always reconcile to the actual movement in cash & bank ledgers — the status card shows Reconciled when they do.

Data source

Figures come live from TallyPrime via the Tally MCP when it is online (green banner). If Tally is unreachable, the report automatically falls back to the internal ledger (amber banner) using the indirect method.

Drawing Power explained

The Drawing Power report computes the bank cash-credit (CC) limit basis:

Formula

Drawing Power = Inventory Value − Trade Payable + Trade Receivable (within the day limit, default 180 days)
  • Inventory is taken from stock valuation as on the chosen date.
  • Trade Payable is the Sundry Creditors balance.
  • Trade Receivable counts only invoices within the configurable day limit.

  • Table / Chart toggle on breakdown reports (Sales by Customer/Item, Purchases by Vendor, Sales Summary) — Chart shows a top-N bar view of the data.
  • Print / Save as PDF: reports with the Print button flatten to clean ink-on-paper (sidebar/header hidden).
  • AI Insights drawer: open it on any report to ask questions grounded in the on-screen figures (summary, anomalies, trends, what-if).
  • Click Export CSV on any report to download the current view (respects filters and search).
  • Use your browser's Print → Save as PDF for a printable copy.
